PERANAN NUTRISI IKAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN BUDI DAYA IKAN-IKAN PERAIRAN RAWA

South Kalimantan have biological resource of common waters potency for the width of 1.000.000 Ha, involve reservoir swamp/lake and river. Equal to 80% from the common waters is swamp. The swamp waters consist of the ebb swamp 200.000 Ha, swamp monoton 500.000 Ha, and lake swamp 100.000 Ha (Dinas Perikanan Kal-Sel, 2004). One of swamp waters potency of important economic valuable swamp is variety of swamps fishs germplasm. At the table 1 showed by 10 important economic valuable of common waters fish type and arranged from highest to lowest production according to statistical annual report of fishery of South Kalimantan in 2007.\ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud \ud Availibility of the swamp fish in marketing hardly fluctuate, depended by haul of fish in nature. In line with increasing in population and demand of the swamp fish, availibility of swamp fish have started to decrease. According to data of produce 5 years latest of fishs haul in swamp waters in South Kalimantan, the degradation is about 15%. It caused by fishs haul activity without bothering conservation norm (illegal fishing). The degradation is possibility and in the end will be totally disappeared. Noor (2007) describe that in range of time at the most 20 year, some type of swamp fish have totally disappeared is possible. Therefore, potential fishs from swamp waters of have came into the strategic plan of development fresh water fish cultivation in province of South Kalimantan.\ud \ud University of Lambung Mangkurat through Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fishery to view it as an important matter, to take the important role to make a success the strategic plan of potential fish development in swamp waters. Effort which can be done by conduct the study of aquaculture of swamp fish and do the counseling through community development program to technological society precisely utilize the application which could be applied at swamp fish. The activity has the important role in supporting Tri Dharma of higher education.\ud \ud Research and development activity of fish cultivation of swamp fish, especially magnification activity not yet given. The satisfying result, because the activity has characters parsial, not comprehensive, and uncompleted. Technology of magnification of swamp fish with the seed coming from nature only have the character of natural and still in the form of try and error, without based on the well established theory.\ud \ud One of important study and urgen conducted is nutrition requirement potential fish in swamp waters. Fondly of the nutrition requirement of swamp fish, can be conducted by feeding management which cooperate with the other management in activity of aquaculture of swamp fish. Thereby, expected by a problems which emerge in the effort domestication of swamp fish can be overcome. Potency of swamp waters big South Kalimantan, supported by an experienced human resource, and also science and technology owned hence in a period to coming expected by as one of especial contributor in ready of fish protein, providing prestigious employment, yielding foreign exchange, and maintain the environmental quality of good swamp waters
