Penggunaan ELISA untuk Mendeteksi Cucumber Mosaic Virus dan Tobacco Mosaic Virus pada Tanaman Cabai

This study was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture,\ud Haluoleo University Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, from November 2010 to January 2011. The objective of this\ud experiment was to detect the presence of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) on\ud pepper in Southeast Sulawesi by using an ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) technique. A survey\ud was conducted to collect chili leaf samples in several locations in the Province of Southeast Sulawesi. Our resuts\ud showed that all leaf samples collected from Kolaka Distict, Duriasi and Lambuya Villages of Konawe District,\ud as well as Kendari City were CMV-infected. Whereas leaf samples collected from North Kolaka and South\ud Konawe Districts were positively infected by CMV with infection levels of 77 and 67%, respectively. Samples\ud from North Kolaka District, South Konawe District, and Durasi Village of Konawe District were infected by\ud TMV with percentages of infection of 84,6, 83,3, 17,2 and 87,5, respectively, while chili leaf samples from\ud Lambuya Village of Konawe District were not infected by TMV
