This research was conducted at fishing communities in Pa???lalakang North Galesong Subdistrict. This research aimed to know characteristic type, function and activity local institution. Qualitative approach was used to collect and analyze of data through interview and direct observation. The result of the research showed that there were two patten of economic and social relationship among capital owners (pa???palele) and fisherman societies. The patterns are patron-client and homophily relationship. The local institution ???adhesive ability??? because they have economic dimension as well as social dimension. Those economic and social relationship tend to became a strunggle for both, pa???palele and fisherman societies (ponggawa) to survi...
