Strategy Design for Seagrass Ecosystems Management based on Productivity Approach of Fisheries Resources in the Spermonde Archipelago, South Sulawesi

The main goal of the research is to design management strategies of seagrass ecosystems based on productivity approach of fisheries resources. The specific objectives are 1) to analyze the behaviour of the seagrass ecosystems, 2) to analyze the sustainability status of the seagrass ecosystems, 3) to design the management strategies of the seagrass ecosystems, 4) to determine the priority of the management strategies of the seagrass ecosystems. Ecological behaviour of the seagrass ecosystems will be analyzed through a food web model using a network analysis. a software package NETWORK 4.2a will be used to perform the analysis. Relative sustainability status will be analyzed by ASPECS (appraisal technique for evaluating seagrass ecosystems sustainability) which is a modification of RAPFISH (rapid appraisal technique for evaluating fisheries sustainability). The APSECS will be applied using multidimensional scaling (MDS) which is an ordination method. Management strategies design of seagrass ecosystems will be determined through a simulation of the system dynamic model that will be run with a software of Powersim Studio 2005. Priority of the management strategies of the seagrass ecosystems will be determined using A'WOT (a combination of SWOT and AHP) analysis
