BUDAYA POP DAN GAYA HIDUP (STUDI KASUS KOREA LOVERS DI MAKASSAR)

These happened because of a special mission from the Korea Government to counter the western and Japan programs in Korea???s Televisions. But latter, they expand not only the tv programs, but also many kinds of Korea Pop Culture Products, and not only spreading to Western countries, but particularly to the Asia, even thought Europe. The Korea Pop Culture dissemination to the Asia, Europe and USA is in line with the improvement of the economy performance of those countries. Mass media is the important part to create this. By Mass media, Korea Pop Culture disseminated quick as lightening. \ud Analyzing this phenomena come to a conclusion that Korea Pop Culture dominated Korea Lovers in Indonesia. But those Korea Lovers are active; they read and received information from a media in a different kinds of way, so the influences to one people are different to another. In this research, there are two kinds of community, based on the way they read, received and reacted to information regarding Korea Pop Culture, Dominant reader and negotiated reader. Dominant readers are those people who get really obsessed with anything about Korea while Negotiated reader are those people who refuse a Korea Pop Culture at the beginning, for they are already had references to other pop culture or bounded to other norms and values that basically different from Korea values and norms. The different mass media influences to these communities are based upon their social backgrounds such as their family, school community, friends, and other social communities. These differences of media influences also put an effect to diversity of identity building
