By means of a perturbation theoretical treatment of the Coulomb interaction between the core-hole and the 3d-electrons an expression for the cross-section of the shakeup-process is derived. Thereby the observed excitation energy dependence of the shakeup-satellite's intensity and its position in the energy loss spectrum can be explained. Furthermore, its intensity shows a strong dependence on the scattering angle in certain scattering geometries. By means of a model calculation this dependence is attributed to a polarisation-effect.
