Objectives. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is a chronic condition imposing strict treatment regimens, impacting both patients and their parents. Despite an extensive diabetes literature on specific intergenerational links, comprehensive models relating broader parental functioning to patient functioning are scarce.
