(Trying To) Re-Introduce the (Vanishing) Sketchbook

The sketchbook used to have an undisputed presence within creative processes. Exploration, practice, study, research, experiment, subversive anarchy; it all found a place within this condensed medium. Now that digital devices have replaced a lot of our manual activities it seems that compiling and keeping track of our ideas has become a fragmented business. Desks are scattered with scraps of prints, sketches and models and that is without mentioning the abundance of virtual files flying around in cyberspace. Somehow it seems that we tend to neglect the residu of our designing process. Our entry will revolve around strategies to re-introduce the sketchbook as a tool to research and map creative graphic thinking and processes, as a way to communicate and keep track with evolving ideas through keeping them condensed within one readily available format.
