The characteristics of pure and palladium (Pd) doped spherical particles of tin oxide nanocomposites were studied using EXAFS and XANES. The decomposition of the organometallic precursor was carried out in the presence of a poly (N-vinyl pyrolid-2-one) (pvp) polymer to obtain colloids coated with polymer. The electrical properties of two fully oxides Pd doped samples show a great difference in its gas sensitivity and in the sample doped in volume. It is found that the role of doping element in the two doping methods led to significant improvements in the optimization of the preparation method of the nanocomposites.status: publishe
