In contrast with material production, manufacturing processes, as used f or discrete part manufacturing, are poorly documented in term of environ mental footprint. In this study we`ll document the environmental impact for a wide range of processes (e.g. laser cutting, selecitive laser melt ing (SLM), selective laser sintering (SLS), electrical discharge ma chining (EDM) ) and develop directives for machine builders to improve the eco-efficiency of their products.
