Broadband EMC emission antennas are calibrated according to ANSI C63.5 for 3 or 10 meter distance measurements for testing of radiated emission for equipment placed in residential and industrial locations and according to ARP958 for military equipment and automotive applications at 1 m distance. In the paper, the methods are described for both standards. In the ANSI C63.5 method, antenna factors are determined via site-attenuation measurements between 3 antennas with antenna height scan between 1 and 4 m for the receiving antenna, while the transmit antenna is placed at a fixed height of 1 or 2 m.
