Ethics, Hunger and Globalization is a stimulating work because it adds an ethics dimension to the research and the public debate about hunger, poverty, and globalization. The UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) estimates that around 923 million people around the world are undernourished (882 million in developing countries, 30 million in transitional countries and 11 million in industrialized countries)(SOFI 2008). More than 2 billion people suffer from micronutrient malnutrition, causing underdevelopment of normal physical and intellectual capacities. Hunger is avoidable since specialists are convinced that enough food is produced. The problem is not food production but food distribution and availability.status: publishe
