Heritage places worth being protected by the UNESCO World Heritage convention located in countries with limited financial resources required equal attention and protection that properties in other countries. The world heritage nomination process can be very costly for heritage organizations lacking funding and capacity. This paper presents an approach for carrying out rapid-recording assessments, in order to accelerate the identification, definition and dissemination of essential information about heritage places for the enlisting on UNESCO´s World Heritage convention.
