This article is a systemic research on merger of colleges in Belgium. There are great changes in supply of courses, financial stability, facilities, work of central offices, collaboration among departments, interdepartmental projects, attitude towards merger, efficiency of staff and profile of colleges because of merger. The scale of merging, local competition, planning of the merger, use of time and resources, professionalisation of the central administration of a college, balanced division of resources between colleges and departments and the administrative model are major factors which affect the merging process.
