Point defects play an important role in the internal friction characteristics of martensitic Cu-based alloys. The concentration and mobility of these defects greatly influence the internal friction as well as the stabilisation of the martensite. The concentration is strongly dependent on the heat-treatment and the alloy type while the mobility is temperature dependent.status: publishe
