The general cascaded transmission line Green's functions are given in a special factorized form, in which the dependence on the observation z- and source zʹ-coordinate are explicitly separated in very simple and symmetric form. The new expressions greatly simplify analytical manipulation of the expressions, pave the way for an efficient numerical computation, and apart from already having been used in the integral equation analysis of 3D structures in planar stratified media may find wider application in related areas. © Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications.
