The expression of the competencies owned by students studying in VPU in the aspect of educational changes

The article provides a major part of quantitative and qualitative data collected through a research concerning educational activities performed by preservice teachers during the time of their pedagogical practice. This article supplies the data associated with the main dimensions of educational changes such as the application of new informational technologies, working with students of special needs, working with students from immigrants' families, working with students of very high skills. Besides this, the article emphasizes the change of attitude towards the teacher's job. This job has been revealed to be more difficult, requiring more responsibility as well as better knowledge of subject, higher pedagogical preparation and broader view of cultural life than it was thought to be before pedagogical practice. It is observed that a part of preservice teachers use informational and communicational technologies during the time of pedagogical practice, however more than a half of all preservice teachers have not used informational and communication technologies during lessonsVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŠvietimo akademij
