The contract angle of water to elastomer is so great that it exhibits significant possibility of intruding pores while taking impression or pouring stone. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of appling surface treatment agent(Spannex Ⅱ, Dreve-dentamid, Unna, Germany) on elastomeric impression materials. For this study, three kinds of elastomeric impression materials (Omniflex, U.S.A.; Advanced, U.S.A.; Impregum F, Germany) and an improved stone(MG Crystal Rock, Japan) were sued. And then the effect with or without appling surface treatment agent on elastomeric impressions were removed after 1 hour.
