In Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland, Iceland, Slovenia and Portugal, radical left parties are experiencing electoral surges, often reaching new levels as well. In countries where they are traditionally well established, if they don't break through, they remain an important player in political and parliamentary life, particularly in Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland and Sweden.
