Fall covey count surveys are conducted annually on select Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) as an estimate of fall quail populations. These surveys are intended to serve as a fall population monitoring technique for assessing quail populations, tracking population trends, and assessing the effectiveness of management practices conducted on select WMAs under intensive quail management
