ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) used in consumer disputes

This article has been devoted to the subject of ODR used in consumer disputes. The first part gives the definition of ODR and indicates possible ways of its application in electronic commerce. The next section lists examples of ODR, such as arbitration online. There is a description of the action of The Uniform Domain Names Disputes Resolution Policy and The European Small Claims procedure. Then an example is given of CyberSettle and SquareTrade which are different forms of mediation and negotiation online. The Part four lists the legal problems encountered by ODR in Europe and highlights the necessary steps towards popularization of ODR
