Çukurova Koşullarında Turp Yetiştiriciliği İçin Elverişli Ekim Zamanlarının Araştırılması

This study was carried out in experimental and research area of Cukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. In the experiment, two genotypes which were developed by selection breeding in the Cukurova University (Round and Long) were used. In the first year of the experiment, 5 sowing dates (15th August, 1st September, 15th September, 1st October, 15th October) and second year 6 sowing dates (13th August, 31st August, 15th September, 1st October, 15th October, 1st November) were studied. Effects of sowing dates on the yield and root size were investigated.According to the outcome of the study, sowing in September gave the highest yield. In the august emergence problems were faced.
