Add to ORKGDirect reaction of 1-amino-5-(4-methylbenzoyl)-4-(4-methylphenyl)pyrimidin-2(1 H)-one/-thione (1) with various 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds (2a-h) afforded moderate to good yields of dihydropyrazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidin-7(3H)-one/-thione derivatives (3a-h) (53-67%). The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, (1)H and (13)C NMR spectral data. All were compared with their previous analogues.</p
