The Contribution of Saussure's Structural Linguistic Theory to the Methodology of Social Sciences

Bu çalışmada, İsviçreli dilbilimci Ferdinand de Saussure'ün tarihsel analizi reddedişinin ve dili bütünlüklü bir göstergeler sistemi olarak ele alışının sosyal bilimler metodoloj isindeki nesnel - bilimsel bilgi arayışına hangi bağlamlarda katkı yaptığına değinilmiştir. Bununla birlikte yapısal dilbilim çığırının dilbilimde yarattığı devrimci metodolojik gelişmelere ve bu gelişmelerin tüm sosyal bilimler için örnek bir model olup olamayacağına, (bilinç-bilinçdışı tartışması ve sosyal bilimlerin imkânı bağlamında) dilin, dilbilimin yapısal tarzda ele almışının bütün diğer sosyal bilimler için ne gibi bir anlama sahip olduğuna değinilmiştir.The central theme in this paper, is the contribution of Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure's structural linguistics (through the rejection of historical analysis and taking language as an integrated system of signs), in the context of the pursuit of objective-scientific knowledge to the methodology of social sciences. And in this paper, also, the possibility of using revolutionary consequences of structural linguistics as a model for social scientific methodology (concerning the discussion on the objectivity of social scientific knowledge regarding the contradiction between the conscious and the unconscious) is discussed
