WOS: 000301968600014Cutaneous mucinoses is a connective tissue disorder characterized by the abnormal deposition of mucin in the dermis. Treatment of the disorder is limited only to case reports because of the rarity of the disease. The literature about the usage of dimethyl sulfoxide in cutaneous mucinosis is limited only to a case report of scleromxyedema treated by oral administration of the chemical. Herein, we report a case of localized cutaneous mucinosis who have been treated successfully with topical 50% dimethyl sulfoxide bioadehesive gel. (Turkderm 2012; 46: 53-4
