FOB sensitivity is generally low in tumors localized in the outer third of the lung. Diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions can be difficult; however, the use of computed tomography (CT)-, fluoroscopy- or ultrasonography (USG)-guided surgery increases the diagnostic rates.
