ASMEProceedings of the 2nd Biennial European Joint Conference on Engineering Systems Design and Analysis. Part 1 (of 8) -- 4 July 1994 through 7 July 1994 -- London, Engl -- 21113Theoretical analysis of heat transfer coefficient estimation using the lumped model or isothermal thin wall approach has been reported. Isothermal thin wall approach with random errors of measured temperature for non-zero Biot number has been developed and optimization of temporal measurement step is proposed. The improved algorithm has been used in connection with heat transfer measurements for impinging jet cooling
