WOS: 000405975100049In this study, exact solutions of the nonlinear partial differential equations have been examined. The Tzitzeica-Dodd-Bullough, the nonlinear telegraph and the generalized Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equations are studied by means of the complete discrimination system, the trial equation method and the modified trial equation method. These equations have various applications in nonlinear optics, communication theory, solid state physics, fluid dynamics and quantum field theory, hence obtaining exact traveling wave solutions of the equations can be useful to understand the phenomena they describe.
