The purpose of this study is to present general information about the diabetes, its diagnosis and its treatment, to define the ethnobotanical researches available in our country and to make a list of medicinal plants that are used for glucose regulation. In our study, firstly ethnobotany researches that are done in Turkey about Diabetes Mellitus to which prevalence is increasing quickly in our country in parallel with the world and that cause so many complications, and the plants that are used colloquially for antidiabetic effects are listed. As a result of the ethnobotany researches that are done without any district limitations, 129 taxa that are used for the purpose of antidiabetic are found.
