Researches on frost resistance of some commercial apricot cultivars grown in Aegean Region (rest period)

Bu araştırmada, bazı önemli kayısı çeşitlerinin [Alyanak, Çiğli, Septik, Şekerpare, Yahudi] dinlenme dönemlerinde dona dayanımları ile dayanımın aylara göre değişimi saptanmıştır. Kayısı çeşitlerinin dona dayanımlarının aralık ayından itibaren arttığı; ocak ayında en yüksek seviyeye ulaştığı, şubat ayında ise düştüğü saptanmıştır. Yahudi ve Şekerpare çeşitlerinin dona en dayanıklı; Çiğli ve Septik çeşitlerinin ise en hassas çeşitler olduğu belirlenmiştir.In this study, resistance to winter frost during rest period and its distribution according to the months in some commercial apricot cultivars viz. Alyanak, Çiğli, Septik, Şekerpare Yahudi was investigated. It was determined that resistance to frost of apricot cultivars started to increase in december and reached its maximum level in January. However, a decrease in resistance was happened infebruary. As a result of this study, cultivars Yahudi and Şekerpare were found as the most resistant ones, but Çiğli and Septik were determined as the most susceptible ones
