Bu çalışmada, içine geçik ve uzun akış yollu tip bir damlatıcının farklı aralıklarla yerleştirildiği damla sulama laterallerinde oluşan sürtünme kayıplarını tahminlemede kullanılabilecek bir matematiksel modelin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Matematiksel modelin geliştirilmesinde Boyutsal Analiz kullanılmıştır. Sürtünme kayıplarının değişimine neden olan parametreler Buckingham Pi-teoremi uyarınca boyutsuz terimler olarak tanımlanmış ve söz konusu:damlatıcının 33,40, 50, 60, 75 ve 100 cm aralıklarla yerleştirildiği borulara ilişkin deneysel yük kayıp verileri kullanılmıştır.
