Palmar hiperhidrozis, her yaşta görülebilen, ellerde aşırı terlemeyle karakterli, insan yaşamını olumsuz etkileyen bir hastalıktır. Tanı, daha çok hastanın öyküsünden ve terlemenin gözlenmesiyle konur. Tedavisi genellikle zordur ve çeşitli yöntemler uygulanmaktadır. Tedavi seçenekleri olarak, topikal ve sistemik ajanlar, iyontoferezis, botilinum toksin enjeksiyonları, cerrahi, kimyasal ve radyofrekans ile yapılabilen sempatektomi sayılabilir.
