Fasioliazis, karaciğer paraziti olan Fasiola hepatika ile oluşan, daha çok koyun ve sığırların konak olduğu ve büyük ekonomik kayıplara yol açabilen önemli bir hayvan hastalığıdır. İnsanlar rastlantısal olarak, kistik organizmaları taşıyan pişmemiş su ürünlerini yemeleri ile konak olurlar.
