Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizme yeni açılan Denizli Kaklık Mağarası'nda Histoplasma capsulatum varlığı aramak idi. Kaklık Mağarası alışılmışın dışında su biyokimyasına sahiptir ve bu nedenle içinde Pamukkale (Hierapoiis) benzeri travertenier bulunmaktadır. Mağaradan toplanan yarasa dışkısı örnekleri maya özütü-fosfat ağar besiyerinde kültür edilmiştir. Kuşkulu mantar kökenlerinden dimorfizm dönüşüm deneyleri, hayvan inokülasyonu ve ekzo-antijen testi yapılmıştır. Bu testlerdeki negatif sonuçlara karşın H. capsulatum M antijeni kotlayan DNA parçası amplifiye edilmiştir. ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 rDNA sekans analizi ile susun Renispora flavissima olduğu saptanmıştır.
