Palmar hyperhidrosis, characterized with excessive sweating of palms and seen at all age groups, is an unpleasant condition that affects life quality negatively. Diagnosis is usually made based upon the history and observation of sweating. Treatment of this condition is difficult and numerous treatment modalities are available. The therapeutic procedures include topical and systemic agents, iontophoresis, botulinum toxin injections, surgical, chemical and radiofrequency sympathectomy. In this article two patients in whom bilateral upper thoracic (T2-T3) percutaneous radiofrequency sympathectomy was performed are presented, and it is concluded that this technique is effective and well tolerated. © Gülhane Askeri Tip Akademisi 2006
