Son zamanlarda Aloe vera gibi birçok bitkisel ürün çeşitli hastalıklara iyi geldiği düşüncesiyle yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Birçok aktif biyolojik bileşik içeren bu ürünlerin yan etkileri konusunda ise literatürde bilgi eksikliği vardır.
