Aim: The study was methodically carried out to examine validity and reliability of Turkish form of "Caregiver Burden Inventory". Methods: Sampling group of the study included 230 primary caregiver of dementia patients. Data was collected using Caregiver Burden Inventory which has 24 items was developed by Novak and Guest in 1989. Forward and backward translation procedure and pretest was made to establish translation equivalency and linguistic adaptation. In order to estimate instrument stability between different occasions test-retest reliability was performed. To determine the internal consistency for the inventory, Coefficient Alpha was obtained.
