In this study, tomato and cucumber were grown in the glasshouses of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University for two spring seasons in addition to one fall season between 1996 -1997. Encarsia formosa (against whiteflies); Phytoseiulus persimilis (against red spider mites) and Aphidius colemani (against aphids) were used as biocontrol agents againts the corresponding pests. Cultural control measures proved to be effective for controlling leaf miners. On the other hand, chemical control was used against Aculops lycopersici. The fungicides which have less side-effects on biocontrol agents of pests were chosen to control the prevailing diseases. No preventive control measures were applied against pathogens.
