A set-up based on a coincidence measurement was developed in order to separate beta and gamma rays emitted from a 137Cs sample. The coincidence system is composed of a NaI(Tl) and a plastic scintillation detector. According to the experimental results, a clear separation between beta and gamma rays was achieved.99 BIL 001 197T087, 104T379This work was supported by TUBITAK, the Scientific and Technical Research Council of TURKEY under Projects No. 104T379, 197T087 and by EBILTEM, Center of Science and Technology, Ege University under Project No. 99 BIL 001. -
