Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a wireless automatic identification technology that utilizes electrically active tags – low-cost and low-power wireless communication devices that let themselves transparently and unobstructively be embedded into everyday objects to remotely track information of the object’s physical location, origin, and ownership.
