Not AvailableFresh seed dormancy in Spanish bunch groundnut has a significant influence on pod yield and quality. It is required to avoid economic loss in the form of in-situ germination during unpredictable rainfall at maturity. A study was carried out using 35 Spanish bunch groundnut genotypes to identify fresh seed dormant genotypes. Analysis of variance revealed that significant genotypic differences and genotype × year interaction for germination per cent. Association studies showed that significant correlation coefficients between duration of fresh seed dormancy and intensity of fresh seed dormancy.
