Histopathological examination of hydatid cysts in the liver, showed extensive fibrous connective tissue proliferation with eosinophilic and lymphocytic infiltration, in lung, parenchyma showed severe emphysema with infiltration of alveolar macrophages and lymphocytes infiltration. In Toxocara infection, polymorphonuclear infiltration in the sub-mucosa with hyper activity of goblet cells leading to occlusion of the gland was noted in the tissue sections.
