Not AvailableIn this study, a core collection of 94 genotypes of Solanum pimpinellifolium was subjected to phenotypic evaluation with and without artificial imposition of salt stress. Association analysis was conducted to identify variations linked to salt tolerance traits in four candidate genes viz., DREB1, VP1.1, NHX1, and TIP. The candidate gene analysis covered a concatenated length of 4594 bp per individual and identified nine SNP/Indels in DREB1, VP1.1 and NHX1 genes explaining >10% phenotypic variation for various salt tolerance traits.
