However, the rainfall situation as on 9th July indicate that some parts of West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar Plains, East Uttar Pradesh and Plains of West Uttar Pradesh continued to be under deficit conditions. The regions of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and West Rajasthan received excess rains leading to flash floods in some parts of the above regions.
