Great diversity was found for these traits.Northeastern (NE)collection comprised in large number the zero bloom type, medium and large leaf types, semi-sup leaf types,medium and tall plant types which are the preferred morphotypes for eri-silk culture in northeastern India. It also had accessions in high frequency possessing medium to long primary raceme,mostly pistillate to female raceme, medium an big capsules with loose triangular shape raceme.Overall the northeastern collection comprised of mostly productive accessions which would serve as preferred base materiel to breed cast...
