This travel report presents a summary of meetings held in Sri Lanka 25/9-6/10/95 between Sri Lankan authorities and institutions, NORAD and NIVA. The objective of the mission was: (1) to discuss the implementation plan for a coastal zoning plan for Hambantota with the emphasis on environmental problems related to shrimp farming (2) to establish a foundation for the transfer and adaptation of the Norwegian model for environmental education to Sri Lanka and (3) to explore the potential for other water-related environmental technology projects for collaboration with NIVA and other Norwegian institutes/industries.
