Assessment of critical loads for soil at the catchment scale requires estimates of soil properties characteristic of the catchment. Soil data collected in routine soil surveys must thus be aggregated both spatially and with depth. Several procedures for such aggregation are used to arrive at characteristic values of soil properties for 8 Norwegian catchments. These values serve as input parameters for dynamic models such as MAGIC.
