French patients need a referral from a physician to access physiotherapy. In some countries, direct access to physiotherapy is allowed. Theaim of this study is to survey what French physiotherapists (PTs) think about direct access. Methods: Nine interviews were conducted to construct an online survey (Limesurvey). Professional organizations and social networksrelayed the survey to French PTs. All French PTs could answer. Results : 2,711 PTs answered the survey (3 % of the PT population). 92.03 % of PTs think they have sufficient skills to manage direct access (65.14 % in one or several physiotherapy areas and 26.89 % in all physiotherapy areas).
