This study was undertaken as part of a larger research project on jaguar conservation and environmental justice financed by the Norwegian Research Council and led by the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA, Norway) Estación Biológica de Doñana (EBD-CSIC, Spain), the Jaguar Conservation Fund (JCF, Brazil), and in collaboration with the Norwegian University for Life Sciences (UMB, Norway).
