AMPLIANDO A ATENÇÃO À SAÚDE PELA VALORIZAÇÃO DAS REDES SOCIAIS NAS PRÁTICAS DE EDUCAÇÃO POPULAR EM SAÚDE

A personal social network is made up of people who live in close proximity generally sharing their daily life and who are available for contact. This network takes on fundamental importance in the lives of those in the disadvantaged classes making it necessary for health professionals in primary care to be able to access the support of these networks. Processes of Popular* Education usually includes these actors. This study aims to analyze the meaning of these personal social networks’ value in the practice of Popular Education for Health, encouraging the interaction between health professionals and social networks with respect to greater integration for health activities. Hence an action research project with two phases was developed consisting first of mapping of social networks and then activating/mobilizing the social networks through meetings and personal contacts. The activities of Popular Education for Health are a very fertile ground for working with social networks. In turn, the social networks can contribute to the widening of the activities of Popular Education in Health, identifying paths for intervention that bring greater awareness, programmatically and theoretically, of those social networks in activities (programs) contributing to more dynamic primary care outreach.A rede social pessoal é constituída por pessoas que convivem com o sujeito em sua realidade cotidiana e que são acessíveis ao contato. Essa rede assume importância fundamental na vida dos sujeitos das classes populares, levando à necessidade de que os profissionais que atuam nos serviços de atenção básica recorram ao apoio dessas redes. As práticas de Educação Popular costumam incluir estes atores. Este estudo propõe-se a analisar o significado da valorização das redes sociais pessoais na prática de Educação Popular em Saúde, incentivando a interação entre profissionais e as redes sociais, no sentido da construção de ações de saúde mais integrais. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa-ação, que constou de um mapeamento das redes sociais e de ativação/mobilização das redes sociais, através de reuniões e contatos pessoais. Constata-se que as práticas de Educação Popular e Saúde são um terreno muito fértil para o trabalho com as redes sociais. Por sua vez, a noção de rede social pode contribuir para alargar as ações de Educação Popular em Saúde, elucidando caminhos de intervenção que possibilitem uma maior visibilidade prática e teórica das redes sociais nessas ações, contribuindo para dinamizar os serviços de atenção básica
